Frequently Asked Questions...
Anybody know anything about car insurance? Some guy bumped my car (only 6 weeks old). He admitted liability no
problem there. Insurance have supplied courtesy car. Here is the problem. The car a Zafira is horrid to drive and I have no clear view on the motorway because wing mirrors are to small. Asked for replacement and insurance say we are only entitled to class A which is Corsa or similar. My car is 4 x 4 (sorry if you don't like them). Why do we not have a choice when we are the innocent party. Don't want a Mercedes or anything just a decent saloon car.
Answer:
Some insurers these days offer you the chance to "upgrade" your courtesy car cover for an additional premium. However, in fairness to them, where their obligation is to provide a courtesy car whilst the insured vehicle is being repaired, it is not economically viable to provide a fleet of high-end vehicles for customers to utilise.
Smaller, cheaper to purchase, maintain, repair and run vehicles such as Fiestas, Corsas and the like are commonplace.

VXR Camberley
VXR Camberley
In the United Kingdom, many of Vauxhall's models have VXR which is the branding for the high-performance trim specification. It replaces the GSi branding which was previously used on top-end high-performance models. VXR models are produced and developed by Opel Performance Center GmbH a subsidiary of the automaker Opel.
The VXR brand is closely linked to VX Racing, Vauxhalls BTCC team, and the VXR versions of the cars are race track-styled models, with high performance capabilities.
The VXR range started with the limited edition VXR220 (a modified Vauxhall VX220 Turbo), and was then followed by the rebadged Holden Monaro VXR. It has since been joined by the Astra VXR in October 2005, and subsequently Zafira, Vectra, Corsa and Meriva versions. The VXR range is expected to include most of the current Vauxhall range.
The Astra VXR would include:
· 2.0i Turbo 16V engine (Z20LEH)
· 240ps / 236 bhp
· 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in 6.2 seconds
· Central trapezoidal rear exhaust
· Uprated turbocharger and fuel injection system
· Revised inlet and exhaust manifolds
· 18" six-spoke alloy wheels with 225/40R18 tyres
· Lowered and uprated suspension
· VXR front fog lamps and other external styling incl. spoiler
· Recaro part-leather seats
· IDS+ Continuous damping control, Adaptive Forward Lighting with xenon bulbs, keyless entry, full leather interior and SATNAV.
VXR is currently only used on the models released under the Vauxhall brand. Charters Vauxhall is the ideal dealership, it has available many VRX in Camberley to view and test drive.
