The Best Decision And Installation Of Ceiling Fans
In an era of electronic progress, the ceiling fan has remained a current solution. It offers a sense of warmth, style, and function. Today's ceiling fans have raised engine result, easier installation and also costs which fit any pocket book. So far as size is concerned, before going away as well as putting down your own heard gained cash on a fan, calculate, measure, calculate the area. Ask about noise control and if you are installing at an existing light fixture, make it easier by choosing a fan with lighting as well.
In the winter time, the fans force warm air down and in the summer time it provides a cooling breeze. It is not commonly known, but it is sometimes recommended to use your fan in conjunction with your heating and cooling systems to keep the warm or cool air circulating while keeping utility bills reasonable.
Naturally, the decision on choice of fan can be based on reliability or familiarity. Frequently Asked Questions...
I don't know what 3 lights means on a Circuit & GFI Tester, help.?
I have this model of A.W Sperry Circuit & GFI Tester (link to picture below), It's the 302A, and I don't know what it means when all three lights light up (obviously there isn't a meaning corresponding to the read out I'm getting). Could it have to do with the fact that I'm testing it on a 240V output whereas the instrument only goes up to a 125V?

I'm testing a transformer that I made. Because I need a 240v output for the appliance that I bought from China. So don't worry about the 240v output
Answer:
This would indicate open or poor neutral with reverse polarity. See the article here:

That is, if the outlet is 120V AC. Are you sure this is a 240V outlet? This tester should not plug into any 240V outlets unless you have something jerry rigged at your place. The best tester is a multimeter but these are handy to have around.
Edit:
There are three neon bulbs in the tester. What you can do is experiment with an outlet and see how each is connected. One between hot and neutral, one between neutral and gnd, and probably one between gnd and hot. Once you figure it out for sure you will see what they mean. However for what you are doing, I would highly recommend you get a multimeter and test your transformer output to see if you have the 240V you are after.
