Size is irrelevant. Length is important.
The end connectors are going to be different. That is something you got to watch for.
You should be able to buy a bag of connectors that go into the distributor and go and buy a length of spark plug wire off a bulk roll. Just measure the total length of all the wires combined, and cut off a length of spark plug wire. I am not certain but the Jetta ends that go onto the spark plugs are ceramic and just screw into the wire(the old air cooled VW's were that way) unscrew and screw onto a new ignition wire and fasten the brass clip on at the other end that went into the distributor.
