Now is the Time to Consider the Well-Being of Your Smile
One factor aside from just our brushing and flossing practices that contributes to our overall oral heath is the food we eat. This is why it is important to take a few moments to consider how the food and drink we consume will affect our teeth. Previously, research did not focus on what kind of foods would encourage cavities and other dental problems, as well as the effect of food and drink on the gums. In addition, we should also be aware of other causes of dental health issues such as the environment and societal conditions. Read this site if you want orthodontics sydney information.
With this in mind, hopefully this article will shed some new light for people who may have, or are prone to getting, cavities. This may mean a modification of food choices and practices. Both cultural tradition and social pressure have influenced the habits of selection and consumption of food. When we are very young we start to form the personality that becomes who we are as adults, and we start to learn the behaviors we will use lifelong at the same time. Various outside influences help to shape those personality traits and behaviors over time. We also fall under the influence of those same forces when we form our habits where food is concerned.
When figuring out how to augment dietary habits, it is first necessary to learn which deficiencies are present; this can be done by using a food guide to compare how much of which kinds of foods is being consumed. Dairy, fruits, breads, cereals, vegetables, and meats fall under the umbrella of foods we generally recommend. Recommendations for an adolescent are stepped up a bit because of their additional nutrition needs with a suggested daily intake of five to six servings of cereal and bread, five to six servings of fruits and vegetables, two meat selections, and milk three to four times a day.
Processed sugars and sucrose are the worst culprits when it comes to tooth decalcification, so we strongly recommend that sweets, in the form of desserts and snacks made with processed sugar, are avoided. For young people, it is helpful to encourage dietary changes by relating them to their concern about appearance, such as fewer blemishes with fewer oils in the diet, better physique with increased exercise and more protein, or increased mental ability with more protein, vitamins, and minerals. You do need to stay away from drinks and foods that are formulated with extra sugars. We also need to think about dental issues more as we age. It's important to get regular dental checkups the older we get. Remember that more than fifty percent of those over forty years of age have some form of gum disease; this is not insignificant.
Diabetes and other kidney diseases often are first indicated by the presence of gum disorders. General illnesses of the body, in general, can often be caught earlier by taking note of oral problems and gum disease. A very serious gum disease, Pyorrhea, has no cure but is more easily managed through the use of periodicity. To this end, everyone should see his dentist at least twice a year. Nutritional deficiencies and infection are many times behind pyorrhea. If the bones in the mouth decalcify far enough, tooth loss will result.
Not having enough calcium or protein intake to the body, essential minerals deplete from the jawbones, which actually shrink in size. This makes the gums unable to fit properly around and support each tooth. This can progress to the point where there is not enough bone to hold a person's teeth in place. If this is the case, your teeth will get loose and need to be extracted.
People can lower the chance of decalcification by eating specific foods that enhance the minerals that keep the gums healthy. So, food inside the body, not just on your teeth, has a profound effect on the teeth. Foods rich in protein are necessary for the body to meet its protein needs and good choices for protein include eggs, fish, milk, dairy, beans, oranges, grapefruit, broccoli, chicken, pork, turkey, strawberries, and tomatoes; remember to consume vitamin D or spend some time in the sun to help the body absorb and use the calcium.
Dental caries (or cavities) are said to be the result of lactic acids from bacterial enzymes left over from the breakdown of sugars. With proper amounts of calcium in the saliva, these acids are neutralized, and no cavities ensue. It is important to remember that if you are not provided enough vitamin D by your diet, even great amounts of calcium in your food will not be aborbed by the body.

Frequently Asked Questions...
Metric Deep impact socket question?
Just found out that the socket set that I have is metric, is there any chance that this would fit in my impact tool 285B-6?
The impact wrench is an IR Impact tool 285B-6
and the socket set is SAE S68M36L IR 8-pc deep impact socket set.
Im using it for Tire removal (1in drive).
the sockets are 1in drive.
will i still be able to use these metric sockets?
Answer:
I dont see why not, since the sockets fit onto metric bolts or nuts.
The drive should be a standard size, someone mentioned them all, but I think they are like 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 and 1 inch although I am not positive on that since I have only used 1/4 and 1/2 ones.
